Tier lists for Guns and Dragons must start with a disclaimer: ABUTTON Inc. has not published official rankings, and the game is still moving toward full release on Steam and Epic Games Store after the July 30–August 10, 2026 Steam playtest. Everything in this hub is provisional playtest-era guidance — useful for comparing weapon classes and build archetypes, not a permanent verdict.

We rank at the class and archetype level because the studio confirms 46+ firearms and bows without releasing a complete public name list. Putting an unrevealed rifle in “S tier” would be fiction. Instead, you will find honest tiers for revolvers, shotguns, snipers, SMGs, longbows, crossbows, and the rune or artifact stacks that made them shine during the playtest window.

Tier list pages

Weapons Tier List

Compare firearm and bow classes for solo and co-op. Criteria include consistent damage uptime, boss viability, skill floor, and how well each class scales with common rune and artifact drops seen in playtest footage.

Builds Tier List

Rank build archetypes — crit shotgun, sustain revolver, elemental longbow, support artifact flex, and more — based on how reliably they clear dungeons with minimal god-roll dependency.

How we assign tiers

Every tier reflects aggregated playtest observations, ABUTTON marketing emphasis on “over-engineered” loadouts, and cross-checks against our detailed guides:

S tier (provisional) — Strong in most playtest scenarios with reasonable skill investment; synergies well with common drops.

A tier — Excellent in specialized hands or team comps; may need setup or co-op support.

B tier — Viable for learning or challenge runs; outperformed when pushing deep without tailored artifacts.

C tier — Situational or heavily patch-sensitive; keep for fun, not efficiency records.

Tiers can differ between solo and co-op. A shotgun class that feels S-tier with two friends spreading aggro may drop to A-tier alone — our subpages call out those splits where data allows.

What can change at launch

Roguelite balance patches frequently rework altar rewards, artifact proc rates, and camp unlock costs. ABUTTON’s own messaging highlights experimentation over solved metas. When the full game ships, expect:

  • New weapons that shift class averages
  • Rune or artifact reworks that elevate former B-tier archetypes
  • Co-op scaling tweaks that reward or punish spread weapons

Revisit this hub after major patches. For build recipes behind each tier, see the Builds hub and Weapons hub.

Using tier lists without hurting your runs

Tier lists are shortcuts, not mandates. Guns and Dragons rewards excessive, surprising combos — sometimes a B-tier class with a perfect artifact roll beats a safe S-tier pick. Use tiers to narrow weapon classes when learning the FPS loop (how to play), then graduate to synergy planning once rune drops make sense.

If you disagree with a placement after the playtest, that is expected. Document your runs, note patch dates, and treat this wiki as a living resource until ABUTTON shares official balance notes.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this an official tier list from ABUTTON?

No. These are fan-made, provisional rankings based on the 2026 Steam playtest and public game information. ABUTTON has not published an official tier list.

Why rank weapon classes instead of individual guns?

The full weapon name list is not officially published. Class-level tiers stay honest while still helping players choose revolvers, shotguns, snipers, longbows, crossbows, and similar families.

Will tiers change after the playtest?

Almost certainly. Balance patches, new artifacts, and unrevealed weapons can reorder the meta before and after the Steam and Epic launch.

Should solo and co-op use the same tier list?

Not always. Crowd-control weapons and support artifacts often rank higher in co-op, while self-sufficient single-target builds lead many solo tier notes.
