Guns and Dragons Weapons Tier List

Provisional class rankings — not individual unreleased gun names.

Weapons Tier List

This provisional weapons tier list ranks Guns and Dragons weapon classes, not every entry in ABUTTON’s confirmed 46+ firearms and bows. The studio has not published a complete official name list, so placing unreleased rifles in S tier would be dishonest. Instead, we compare revolvers, shotguns, snipers, SMGs, longbows, and crossbows using Steam playtest observations (July 30–August 10, 2026) plus public marketing emphasis on co-op roles and build experimentation.

These tiers are not official. Expect shifts at full Steam and Epic Games Store launch. Pair this page with firearms, bows, and weapon synergies for context behind each placement.

Tier criteria (playtest-era)

  • Damage uptime — How consistently the class contributes during mob and boss phases.
  • Skill floor — How punishing the class feels for average FPS players.
  • Synergy access — How often common rune and artifact drops amplify the class.
  • Mode split — Solo versus 1–3 player co-op (see solo and co-op builds).

Solo tier list (provisional)

S tier (solo, provisional)

  • Sniper rifles — Highest boss damage when headshot rules align; punishes mistakes.

A tier (solo, provisional)

  • Revolvers — Best learning class; sustain and crit stacks stabilize deep runs.
  • Crossbows — Strong precision without full sniper scope demand on some maps.

B tier (solo, provisional)

  • Longbows — Excellent in open arenas; drops in cramped village interiors without mobility perks.
  • SMGs — Snowballs with elemental procs; collapses without ammo and sustain upgrades.
  • Shotguns — Strong mob clear; boss timers hurt without single-target backup skills.

C tier (solo, provisional)

  • Meme / unbuilt hybrids — Fun when RNG aligns; unreliable for consistent clears until camp upgrades mature.

Co-op tier list (provisional)

S tier (co-op, provisional)

  • Shotguns — Frontline aggro and mob control when an anchor teammate covers bosses.
  • SMGs (elemental setup) — Proc engines with team cover; weaker without coordinated co-op builds.

A tier (co-op, provisional)

  • Sniper rifles — Boss anchor role.
  • Crossbows — Flexible anchor when snipers do not drop.
  • Revolvers — Flex slot for altar adaptability and team auras.
  • Longbows — Range and pierce when frontline creates space.

B tier (co-op, provisional)

  • Triple duplicate classes — Not a weapon class, but a team mistake: three shotguns competing for the same rune family.

Why class tiers differ between modes

Shotguns illustrate the split cleanly. In co-op, a teammate with sniper or crossbow solves boss checks while you shred crowds — provisional S-tier frontline. Solo, the same shotgun lacks that anchor unless artifacts and skills compensate — often B-tier in efficiency rankings.

Always read mode-specific notes before rerolling your main.

Classes we are not ranking individually

Assault-style rifles, magitech hybrid guns, and unrevealed bow variants appear in trailers without full stat sheets. Treat them as A-tier generalists until datamined or documented — neither S nor C by default. Update this section when ABUTTON publishes rosters.

How to use this tier list

  1. Pick a class at or above your skill band (revolver if learning, sniper if confident).
  2. Plan synergies on runes and artifacts before chasing tier rank.
  3. Compare resulting archetypes on the builds tier list.
  4. Revisit after patches — roguelite balance moves fast.

ABUTTON game director Park Jun-woo emphasized freedom to experiment over solved metas. A B-tier class with perfect artifact RNG still wins runs; an S-tier class with anti-synergy mods does not.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this weapons tier list official?

No. It is fan-made and provisional, based on the 2026 Steam playtest. ABUTTON has not published official weapon tiers.

Why are individual guns not listed?

The complete weapon name list is unpublished. Class tiers stay accurate without inventing stats for unrevealed weapons.

Did snipers really rank S-tier solo?

Provisionally for skilled players with crit and headshot synergies. Average players may find revolvers more consistent despite lower peak damage.

When will this tier list update?

After major ABUTTON patches and the full Steam and Epic launch. Check the Tier List hub for methodology changes.
